Looking For Diamond Engagement Rings For Your Partner!

Here are some things to consider when you are looking for diamond engagement rings.

What ring does she like?

There are many different styles of diamond rings to choose from.  Yellow or white gold, what shape for the center diamond, halo, vintage or traditional?  If she has specific requirements you should know.  Talk to her about it and really listen. If she has a picture,  take notice.  Some brides have a wedding file for things that are really important for the big day.  After all, the most important thing is that she falls head over heels for the ring like she did for you.  A lot of other things are over after the wedding day, but the ring lasts forever.

If you can, talk to her friends or family, they may have info you don't.  Chances are, she and her BFF have discussed it at length.  You will be surprised, but there are many details and you get extra points for being thorough and paying attention.

It's time to get educated about diamonds

Visit a jeweler you trust to find out what you need to know.  They will be able to explain to you about color, clarity, cut and carat weight. Once you understand these things you will feel more comfortable in choosing her ring.  A good jeweler  will be able to help you pinpoint just what you need.  It is better for you when you can see and touch your choices rather than rely on a computer image.  A brick and mortar store that has been around awhile and that someone has recommended will be there for you in the long run. This investment is the beginning, not the end. Develop a relationship since you will want service on the ring in the future.

How much will you spend?

Thinking about budget is important. This is a major purchase and you should think about what you can afford before you visit a store.  The jeweler will ask you right away, not to pressure you but really to meet your needs.  Price is based on color, clarity, cut and weight and each will vary depending on the diamond.  Special financing may also be available.  Ask if they offer it and consider if it is right for you.

Make it unforgettable

Presenting a diamond engagement ring is just as important as selecting one.  Be personal, do something romantic and special for both of you.  Do something different than every body else.  Then you both will have a memorable story to tell your grandchildren someday. Warm memories to last forever, just like your love.
